Spring Cleaning
Today was Spring cleaning for us. All we did was clean the house today and I am so glad that Spring only comes once a year! I hate cleaning if you don't know by now. Thank goodness my husband was here to help me because I would have passed out from all the dust we had in this little apartment. I cant believe how much dust collects in here. Anyhow, it now smells like Mr Clean in here and hope it lasts for awhile because I don't want to have to do this anytime soon.
My son went to a birthday party with my parents so my husband and I get to spend some quality time now. Gotta go!

Knott's Berry Farm
Haven't had a chance to get on to write for a couple of days. Our Spring break has been fun so far. Saturday was a packed day because we had to go to my son's musical theatre class, then we went to the Easter Egg hunt at our church, and after we went to Mount Baldy and got to see snow with our friends. I will put a picture up of all of us at the top of Mount Baldy next time. We had so much fun! Especially my son because he got to through snow balls at me and in my pants. We then went back to our friends house for a BBQ. What a day! :) On Sunday we went to church and then spent some time at my parents. We had lunch there and then left for Knot's. We purchased annual passes since my son did well last week at school and it's something me and him can do during the week we have off. Monday we spent the day at Knot's and it was so much fun. My husband met us after he got off work so he got a chance to ride some rides with our son. Then today, my son and I got to spend a couple of hours at Knot's and here is a picture of him by the water fall at Mystery Lodge.
I cant believe my vacation is almost over. :( Time has flew by too quickly. I should have taken off the whole week now that I think about it now because the days just go by too fast. Oh well, I will make tomorrow, my last day of vacation, the best day ever. Don't have a clue on what I'm gonna do yet.

YEAH I'M ON VACATION!
I am on vacation starting right now! :) I am so excited. I think we might get annual passes to Knot's Berry Farm this weekend so that way I can take my son next week since he is on spring break. We live right across from there so it is so convenient. Tonight is my son's school open house so that is where I will be. My husband will be missing out because he will be working tonight. I get to find out from my son's teacher how he has been doing and I get to meet his 2nd grade teacher. Anyways, I will let you know the scoop tomorrow. He came home with an "orange" today. :( One more day and hopefully he gets "red" tomorrow so we can have a nice weekend without any grounding!!! I am so excited and look forward to doing something besides being grounded and stuck at home all weekend. Till tomorrow.........TTFN :)

Don't feel much like talking tonight
Well, I really don't feel like talking tonight because I am really exhausted. I didn't sleep well last night because I missed my husband too much. So I was up half the night tossing and turning instead of sleeping like a baby. And to top it off, I had a really rough day at work. I was on the phone for most of the day and now I have a massive headache from it. I don't even have the energy to type so I am leaving you with a picture of me in Rosarito Beach, Mexico riding a horse for the very first time. Don't I look terrified? I was! And you don't even know the story behind this picture. I will have to tell you some other time what happened to me while riding this horse in Mexico.

There is hope!
My son had a "red" day today!!!! Yeah!!! :) So I let him play outside a little today after school because that is what he wanted to do. And it worked out that he got a late birthday present for him to open up from his aunt. That was sweet. He was so happy. He got a CD of all the bible songs so I put it on for him when he came inside. Thanks Aunt V and family!!! :)
So my friend at work and I had our bible reading today at Burger King. Even though we did most of our time with eating and talking, we still had some time to read a chapter. We only wished we had more time to discuss about what we read since we were too busy with talking about our issue's with our sons. I just am glad that I am not the only one who deals with issues with their son. It's nice to know there are other mothers that go through the same thing and feel the same way. So we vented to each other and it was GREAT! :) And as we were leaving, this lady came up to us and said, "ladies can you watch my burger?" and we told her that we were just leaving. She then said to us. "I'm just going to wash my hands and I don't want anyone to take my burger". We looked at each other and said, "okay". The lady came out and sat down to eat her burger and I don't even think she thanked us. Now who does that???? I have never ever had anyone ask me to watch their food so they can wash their hands. And who do I look like, the burger sitter???? That was just rude.
Well the reason why I said "there is hope" is because my husband is going to a sleep disorder institute tonight and he is going to spend the night there to get help with his snoring. I am so glad! I finally get a good night sleep tonight and I hope they can figure out what he needs to do to stop snoring. Praise the LORD! I will be so refreshed tomorrow. Well, I am a little sad that he wont be at home tonight. I don't like to be alone at night in my house so that will be kind of scary for me. I know my supervisor would love to trade places with me tonight. She always tell me she would love to be alone once in awhile so I'm sure she is going to be so jealous about this. I will dread every second of it when I am awake but when I am sleeping I will love it because I wont be woken up by snoring tonight. :) I better go and say goodbye to my husband before he leaves for the night. Oh and he bought home flowers for me today! :) Isn't that sweet.

Happy St Patrick's Day!
Did you wear green today?? I have to tell you that I dressed myself by accident today. Let me explain what I mean. I had a hard time finding something to wear this morning and mind you I did not remember it was even St Patrick's Day. So I just picked this green sweater and wore it. I went to work and saw everyone with green and then remembered what day it was. Isn't that something? Anyways, thought I share that with you.
OK, so I have a confession to make. Remember I told you a couple of weeks ago that me and a friend of mine at work were gonna go workout on our lunch break. Well.......that kinda went sour. We went that one day and have not gone back. It is so hard to go. We want to but would rather do something else. We have no motivation and I know I am just so lazy. I hate that. I wish I was motivated like some people are when it comes to working out. So we are gonna try doing this thing after next week and we are only going on Tues and Thurs instead. We decided on Mon, Wed, and Fri we were gonna spend time at the park to read the bible and do like a bible study thing. We started today and I have to say it was very fulfilling. It is so much better than reading it alone. I didn't fall asleep! And I have someone who I can discuss with about what we just read which is so great because I don't understand everything in there. We had so much fun we didn't want to stop reading. :) We will read again tomorrow.
Not really happy with my son tonight. As usual he did not have a good day because he didn't listen to his teacher. I just don't know what to do anymore. I sware I am going to send him to one of those boot camp so he can be scared to death and want to come home and listen. But I think he is too young. If he doesn't shape up I think when he gets older I will have to send him to one of those places. Sometimes I think maybe we are being too hard on him but I just want him to understand that he needs to respect and listen to his elders. I don't think he gets it. How do you teach this to a kid? Talking to him about it is just not working.
Better go, my corn beef is ready! Yeah, corn beef sandwich for tomorrow!!! :) I love corn beef.

Internet Down!
At&t sucks! Our Internet is down again and I could not get on my computer since Friday morning. Thank God for this Apple laptop I got here that I can use because it is wireless. Its like I am missing something when my computer doesn't work. I feel lost without it. And we don't have our phone service either. So we cant even make any calls or no one can call us. I think we are going to switch to Cable Internet. We have had bad service with At&t. This guy who came to check on the wires in the home was pretty cool though. He was out checking on someone else's line and I caught him on Friday when I got home. And he was so nice to come in and check things out and he fixed some stuff and gave me his card to call him tomorrow if it still didn't work. So I have to say he was the coolest technician I have met. So I called him today hopefully he can come over and fix this mess. I have to say thank God for cell phones too. I would be out of my mind if I couldn't get a hold of someone if I needed to. Do you ever wonder how we got by before without computers and cell phones. I can barely recall those days because it seriously feels like it was ancient days. But really it hasn't been that long ago. I think I was like 16 when I got my first computer and it was huge and ugly. Do you remember the first cell phones that we came out. Oh my they were heavy and that long antenna that didn't go down so you had to hold it in your hand everywhere you went because it wouldn't fit in your pocket. What about pagers before the cell phone came out. I remember when there were codes you could type on there so you people could know what you wanted. Wow back in the days. Now it is so high tech it's crazy. I don't even know half the things out there. As long as I know how to get on the computer and use it then I am good. Laters.

Hot! Hot! Hot!
I am hot! Oh no, summer is coming. I really don't like heat. You would think being born in Hawaii I would like it but I don't. I would rather have it cold. Looks like I got to break out the fans. Oh yeah!
OK, so that movie last night I watched, called "Salsa" was not as what I remembered it to be. It is from the 80's so that should give you some kind of idea what it was like. It was like a Spanish version of "Flash dance". There was some bad acting in that movie. But I have to say the dances were beautiful. I wish I could dance like that. And I loved the music in the movie. One of the guys in it was so cute. The lead guy I believe his name is Robby and I think he was in that one singing group Menudo. He was cute but I could not stand that jeri curl he had going on. That was sick. It was a good flashback movie if you miss the 80's.
My son had an "orange" day again. Not so good. He says he will try harder tomorrow so we will see. He asked to read his Bible tonight again. :) It was so cute hearing him read it. And it also has sections that have questions and answers about life and he started laughing about it. I asked him why was he laughing because the Bible doesn't have anything funny in it. He told me, "yeah it does because it talked about a boy and his hamster that took his baby brother's binky away". And he started to laugh again. So I guess he told me.
American Idol is coming on so I gotta go. Talk later.

So Tired
OK, this time change thing is really not fun. I could barely roll myself out of bed this morning. And then the whole day I was drinking coffee to keep myself from sleeping. I was so tired I swore I was going to fall asleep at my desk. Thank God the phones were busy at work today because that is what kept me awake. Heehee.
Shawn had another "orange" day which is so so good. Means he had a warning to stop doing something. Most likely it was for talking. He says it wasn't his fault but don't they all say that??
He is doing better in his reading (when he wants to) so we are very happy with that. He is not always cooperative when it comes to reading but when he does put his mind to it then he is pretty good. We got him a child Bible this weekend for Easter and he asked if he could have it early so he could start reading it so that made us happy. He was so excited and started to read it already.
Nothing much to talk about tonight. Don't really feel much like talking or typing so I will leave it as that. I think I will watch my movie I got from Netflix "Salsa". I saw it a long time ago, I think it was like in the 80's. I wanted to see it again. So I will let you know what I think about it.

What time is it???
Well, it's Sunday already and the weekend just flew by. I'm home alone and bored to death. My dad in Florida called to tell me he got his package I sent him of home videos and pictures of my son. He said he loved it. I also added in some report cards and drawings my son made. My dad was very impressed with his grades so he said he was going to send something special for him. Lucky boy! :) Other than that, nothing new. Just chillin' alone and watching TV. It is starting get cooler now, thank God because I was dying from the humidity today. I am not liking this time change by the way. It is throwing me off like crazy. I don't even know what time is it. I got clocks and gadgets telling me different times over here. All man, winter is leaving and I am sad. I gotta put away all my sweaters and scarfs I made. Boohoo.

Musical Theatre
This is my son in his musical theatre class. They were working on their body positions. They had to choose 3 positions and move slowly from one to another. It was interesting watching the different kinds of positions these kids thought of.
They also worked on "clay sculpting". So my son was having a ball with it as you see here. The poor girl! He made her do some weird things and put her in positions I didn't think you could even be in. Well it wasn't so fun when it was his turn......hehee:)
As you see in the picture, the girl made him pay. It was so funny watching them do this game.
Then we went to the dentist for my son's appointment for a cleaning. He had no cavities! Hooray! What a relief. And he did pretty well for his first visit with the new dentist. The dentist was awesome. I was so worried that he wouldn't cooperate with the dentist. We have gone through so many trying to find one he would like. But this dentist was so good that it was a breeze. We were out of there in 30 minutes. Now I'm in the clear until 6 months!

Thank God it's Friday!
Well, I wish I had good news to tell ya but I don't. My son came back with a "green day" today. No, not the rock group. I only wish. He had to write sentences for playing around too much. He says the substitute was mean and hard. Which maybe true but doesn't give him the right to misbehave and not respect him or her. So he is grounded tonight. Man, and I really wanted to go to McDonald's too! I was looking forward to that fish sandwich. Like I said before, punishing them is like punishing yourself. I hate it! So now he is doing his homework and he is going straight to bed and after dinner. So should I ground him for the whole weekend? Or just ground him tonight? How should I do this? I don't wanna be too mean or hard. I don't know........ HELP! Really wish there was a book that had all the answers on parenting. I don't care how much it
cost because I would buy that sucker. He looks so sad over there doing his homework. When I told him no McDonald's when he told me about his day, his face just dropped to the ground. I hate seeing my baby like that. That was so hard. But I gotta stay strong. Why are we mothers so weak when it comes to punishment?? Well, not all mothers are like this but the ones who are.
I can only hope things get better because I am not a happy camper here. I have no plans for this weekend and am very sad. My son has a dentist appointment on Sat after his acting class so that will not be the highlight of my day. I really hope he doesn't have any cavities because he already had like 3 so far. And getting them filled was not fun for me! He was not a happy camper. The dentist is a new one for him so it will be his first time there. But I go to that dentist and he is awesome. He is like the coolest dentist I have ever meet. And I have gone through a lot. My supervisor is the one that recommended him and swore by him and now I know why. So keep fingers cross.

Stop the Snoring!!!
Man was I tired today. My husband kept me up half the night because he was snoring in my ear. I finally had to kick him out and he slept on the couch. I sware I don't know what I am going to do with him. His snoring seems like it is getting worse each night like it gets louder. I bought some ear plugs to see if that would help but those are so uncomfortable. A waste of money. I offered to sleep on the blow up bed in my son's room but he said "hell no I wont let you do that" (his actual words). So I guess he will be sleeping on the couch for awhile. He has been sick lately and his sinus is really bad so I think it's because of that, he is snoring so badly. I cant wait till he gets better so we can actually sleep in the same room again. :)
Hooray! My son had another "red" day which means a good day and he did well in his reading group again. So today I took him to Baskin Robins and got sundaes after school. I got this coupon sent to me by my aunt, "buy one and get one free" so I used that. That really came in handy because I did not realize how much it cost to get just a one scoop sundae at Baskin Robins. It is crazy! One scoop and one topping for $3.44. Have they lost their minds? I can get a whole bucket of ice cream for 5 dollars and that will last me forever. Why is that? Doesn't make any sense at all. Lets just say if it wasn't for that coupon I would not have gone there and don't look like I will be going back anytime soon unless I get another one of those coupons. :) All that matters was the look on my sons face when he saw the sundae. He loved it. I am so happy he is doing much better. I really hope he continues.
I need to go because my son needs me to help him with his homework. Talk later. Tomorrow is Friday!!!

Hump Day!
Yeah my son had a good day at school today! He came home with a Daily Report with '"red day" which is the color of a good day. His teacher said that he even did really good in his reading group today! Hallelujah! So I went out and got his favorite thing at El Polo Loco which is their churros and the loco salad. I know weird huh that a child actually likes salad. He loves salad. So when he came home with my husband he was shocked that I had a treat for him. So I hope he continues.
So my friend at work and I are starting to go to the gym again at lunch. We did it for a month straight for 5 days in a week and lost some weight but the holidays ruined it all for us. There was no point even working out because I was like eating everything in site. So now that the holidays are over we are trying to get back on tract again. We are going to try going on Wednesday and Fridays. Will let you know how that goes. Hopefully we stick with it.

What a day!
Seriously, today was one of those days. I had the weirdest stuff happen at work. Crazy calls. And then coming home and dealing with my son. He is going through this phase where he thinks he can do whatever and not have consequences. So we have tried almost everything in the book. The spanking didn't work, the time out didn't work, the taking the toys away didn't work, the going to bed early didn't work, and now we are doing the grounded thing which doesn't seem like it's working either. So we are lost at this point. Nothing phases this kid. He is like immune to every punishment. What in the world did we do to deserve this? Where did he come from? Sometimes I think maybe they had switched kids in the hospital because I don't ever remember me being anything like that as a child. He must of gotten it from my husband. He is acting up in school and thinks that we wont find out about it. His teacher has this color chart thing that she moves the color when she has to warn the children and each color that they go to has a consequence. So of course the last one is to the principle's office and they do spank them if it is necessary. But thank goodness he hasn't gotten to that point. He just has a big problem with keeping his mouth shut and keeping quiet. I get the daily report everyday about how he is talking too much and wont keep quiet. He is also refusing to read during his reading group time. I asked him the other day why he doesn't read when it is his turn and he said, "it's just not my thing". What? Not his thing. What 7 yr old says that? I couldn't believe he said that. I told him I didn't care if it's not his thing because he doesn't have a choice in that matter. I explained to him about graduating and moving up to the 2nd grade and if he doesn't do better then he will have to fall behind. He goes to a private Christian school so they are much stricter and their curriculum is much advanced so I am glad that he is there. The tuition is very high and we told my son that we cant afford to have him do 1 st grade over and if he didn't do better than we would have to put him in a public school. He looked worried when I told him that. We also told him that if we don't start getting reports of him doing better than he will stay grounded. So far everyday he is coming back with a report of an "orange" day which is a warning. So I don't know how long we will have to continue with this grounding thing. I sware when I punish my child I feel like I'm punished. Its not fair! I hate it. Well, I better get going. American Idol is on. I love that show.

Manic Monday
Mondays are always so hard. It was really hard for me to get out of bed this morning. Luckily the day went by pretty quickly. Work was the same and nothing really happened. Came home and made an easy dinner. Family got fed and now I can kick back and relax. I thought I might write a little something in here and then play my DS Lite game. :) To be honest, I had my supervisor help me a little so I did cheat on the game. I am just very computer illiterate so it takes me awhile to understand things when it comes to technology stuff. So my people have not died since she has helped me which has been a change for me because I'm use to dying every night.
Anyhow, back to my life story. So when my husband decided to make the move and say let's get married, we planned it in 6 months. It was a crazy time. We wanted it to be after the holidays and wanted it to be a New Year thing so we decided 1/2/05. And that was the day we got married. We wanted a place where we could have everything there and not too much. We found a place called the Garden Room in La Habra that was perfect. They had a church where you can have the wedding and then a banquet room where you party after. So we loved it. It was a perfect size for a small wedding. We had less then 100 people so it was cozy. Well, that day was a disaster. It started with my limo driver was late to pick us up, to my flowers never showed up, to the DJ didn't get our song list so he didn't know what to play, to my son's tux was the wrong one we had picked out for him to match his dad. So it was not a fun day. I was so stressed and depressed. Luckily my cousin took apart the center piece from the bridal table and made bouquets out of them. She was a life saver! It wasn't for her I don't know what I would have done. I had told everyone I was not walking out there without flowers. The lady in charge of the place was telling me, "at least the groom showed up". That did not make it better! After all was settled that day just went by so quickly. I am just so glad that we had a friend video tape everything that day. It was awesome to see everyone enjoying themselves and seeing us on video because we were so wrapped up with taking pictures and toasting. Our friend who did it was the bomb! She was everywhere taping everything. Well that was my wedding story. More stories to tell some other time.

The weekend is almost over!
I cant believe it's already Sunday. The weekends go by so fast. Well, remember that game I talked about last time "Lost in Blue 2"? I am stuck at this point of just feeding these people. That's all I do is look for food and feed them. They just cant stay full. Seriously can they make it a little bit more realistic. I know I love to eat but I don't eat that much during the day. At least I didn't die!!! Hehee:)
OK, I think I have been struck with bad luck with vacuum cleaners. I have gone through one like every year. Our last one we got from our wedding lasted at least 3 yrs but it died last night. So of course we had to go out and get another one. I cannot believe how many different kinds of vacuums there are. I mean why do we need 20 different ones to choose from. I just need something to pick up the dirt and do its job. How do you pick the right one? Is there one better than the other? And why is it better? They should have a class on how to pick the right vacuum because I got a headache just staring at all the ones to get. My husband of course choose the one he wanted since he is the one that vacuums. So I am all good with that. But it was like over $100! What the heck. The things we have to deal with in this world.
Well I am off to church now. Will talk later.
